Earendil Inc. is a Public Benefit Corporation founded by Armin Ronacher and Colin Daymond Hanna in 2025. The purpose of Earendil is to strengthen the agency of humanity by crafting software and open protocols that bridge division and ignorance and cultivate lasting joy and understanding.
In service of the goals above, Earendil is proud to make several announcements today:
- The acquisition of the Pi Open Source project. Written by Mario Zechner, Pi is a stellar example of craft and taste in software today. Pi is the minimal agent within OpenClaw and a widely-adopted Open Source coding agent and harness. Mario's commitment to openness and craft resonate strongly with the founding purpose of Earendil. Parallel to the acquisition, Mario Zechner becomes a major Earendil stakeholder and team member.
- Lefos becomes available via public alpha today. Lefos is our first step in a journey towards building a machine entity that proves both maximally capable and trustworthy. Lefos communicates with you and your co-creators over email, a stack that you control and where you can collaborate with others. Lefos helps your inbox become a command line for thoughtful work and communication. Users can join the waitlist now at Lefos.com.
- Earendil is proud to announce our early backers: Accel (Daniel Levine), Balderton (Daniel Waterhouse) and the Founders of n8n (Jan Oberhauser), OpenClaw (Peter Steinberger), Revolut (Vlad Yatsenko), Sentry (David Cramer), and Slack (Cal Henderson) among many others. We are grateful for their trust and support.
